VoiceNotes is a desktop application for offline voice transcription, AI-powered meeting minutes generation, and AI chat. All audio processing occurs locally on your device. No audio data is transmitted to external servers.
VoiceNotes is available as a one-time purchase. The free trial allows up to 120 minutes of transcription. Purchasing a license grants you unlimited use on the number of devices specified at the time of purchase.
VoiceNotes uses Ollama to run AI models locally on your device. These AI models (such as Gemma, Qwen, LLaMA, Mistral, etc.) are developed by third parties and are subject to their own licenses and terms of use.
It is the user's responsibility to review and comply with the license terms of any AI model they download and use through Ollama. VoiceNotes does not distribute, modify, or host these models. The App merely provides an interface to interact with models that you choose to install.
Some models may have restrictions on commercial use, output usage, or geographic availability. VoiceNotes is not responsible for any violation of third-party model licenses by the user.
VoiceNotes uses whisper.cpp, an open-source implementation of OpenAI's Whisper model, for speech-to-text transcription. whisper.cpp is licensed under the MIT License. The Whisper models are subject to OpenAI's license terms.
VoiceNotes is a tool, similar to a voice recorder or video player. It is the user's sole responsibility to ensure that their use of the App complies with all applicable laws, including but not limited to laws regarding:

All data created by the App (recordings, transcriptions, meeting minutes, chat messages) belongs to you. VoiceNotes does not access, collect, or transmit your data. All processing occurs locally on your device.
VoiceNotes is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, language, and model selection. AI-generated meeting minutes may contain errors or omissions. Always verify important information.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoiceNotes and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
